Psa 13:1, … HOW LONG, O LORD? Will YOU FORGET ME FOREVER? HOW LONG Will YOU HIDE YOUR FACE FROM ME?
Some times during trials we believe that GOD has forgotten about us or hiding from us, BUT FEELINGS ARE NOT FACTS! IN TRIALS WE TEND TO EMBRACE OUR FEELINGS AND SITUATIONS RATHER THAN GOD!
Psa 13:2, HOW LONG SHALL I TAKE COUNSEL IN MY SOUL, HAVING SORROW IN MY HEART DAILY? HOW LONG WILL MY ENEMY BE EXALTED OVER ME?
David, in his desperation repeats the phrase “HOW LONG” four times! IF WE ONLY KNEW HOW LONG THIS TRIAL WILL LAST BEFORE IT’S LIFTED FROM US! DOES SCRIPTURE SAY “WE WALK BY FEELINGS, OR BY SIGHT”? NO!
2Co 5:7, FOR WE WALK BY FAITH, NOT BY SIGHT.
ALWAYS REMEMBER, HE CAN’T LIE! HE HONORS HIS PROMISES MORE THAN HIS NAME!
Psa 138:2, … FOR YOU HAVE MAGNIFIED YOUR WORD ABOVE ALL YOUR NAME.
Psa 13:5-6, BUT I HAVE TRUSTED IN YOUR MERCY; MY HEART SHALL REJOICE IN YOUR SALVATION. I will sing to the LORD, BECAUSE HE HAS DEALT BOUNTIFULLY WITH ME.
DAVID REMEMBERS GOD’S FAITHFULNESS in the past, and RATHER THAN TO DWELL ON THE PROBLEM HE CHOOSES TO SING TO THE LORD!
Psa 77:10-12, … BUT I WILL REMEMBER THE YEARS OF THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MOST HIGH.” I WILL REMEMBER THE WORKS OF THE LORD; SURELY I WILL REMEMBER YOUR WONDERS OF OLD. I WILL ALSO MEDITATE ON ALL YOUR WORK, AND TALK OF YOUR DEEDS.
During trials our imagination runs wild! WILL I FIND ANOTHER JOB? WILL I BE ABLE TO PAY MY BILLS? WILL WE BE LIVING IN THE STREETS! WILL WE BE IN HUNGER?
Psa 37:25, I have been young, and now am old; YET I HAVE NOT SEEN THE RIGHTEOUS FORSAKEN, NOR HIS DESCENDANTS BEGGING BREAD.
THE LORD IS FAITHFUL AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE US! HE USES TRIALS TO BUILD US UP THAT WE MAY LEAN CLOSER TO HIM!
