Proverbs 9:7-18, wisdom or folly chose one!

Pro 9:7-8, “He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you; REBUKE A WISE MAN, AND HE WILL LOVE YOU.

The servants went out inviting the simple to wisdom’s home, Yet there are many who don’t care for the invitation! A mocker will laugh and twist your words, but a man who seeks wisdom will listen up!

Pro 12:1, WHOEVER LOVES INSTRUCTION LOVES KNOWLEDGE, BUT HE WHO HATES CORRECTION IS STUPID.

Pro 9:9, Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.

How do you act if someone corrects you in truth? Do you want to win a conversation or learn from it? A true friend will and should correct you, but how will you take it?

Pro 27:6, Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

Pro 9:13-15, A foolish woman is clamorous; She is simple, and knows nothing. For she sits at the door of her house, On a seat by the highest places of the city, To call to those who pass by, Who go straight on their way:

Verses 1-6, we have a wise woman calling people, now we see a foolish woman doing the same!

Pro 9:16-17, “WHOEVER IS SIMPLE, LET HIM TURN IN HERE”; AND AS FOR HIM WHO LACKS UNDERSTANDING, SHE SAYS TO HIM, “STOLEN WATER IS SWEET, AND BREAD EATEN IN SECRET IS PLEASANT.”

Temptation is everywhere; a wise man will keep on going, but a fool would not think twice! Apparently, this foolish woman is married but she offers herself up to any willing!

Pro 5:15, Drink water from your own cistern, And running water from your own well.

Pro 9:18, BUT HE DOES NOT KNOW THAT THE DEAD ARE THERE, THAT HER GUESTS ARE IN THE DEPTHS OF HELL.

Two voices calling you in two different directions; One leads to life the other death! In the middle of both wisdom and folly is verse 10

Pro 9:10, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

The reverence of GOD will keep you away from folly and it will keep you from stumbling!

Gen 4:7, If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, SIN LIES AT THE DOOR. AND ITS DESIRE IS FOR YOU, BUT YOU SHOULD RULE OVER IT.”
