Rehoboam, Solomon’s son, asked advice from the elders who served Solomon.

GOD ALLOWED REHOBOAM’S FOOISH HEART TO SPEAK TO HIS OWN DESTRUCTION! IT WAS SOLOMON’S SIN AND REHOBOAM FOLLY THAT DIVIDED ISRAEL, YET GOD WAS IN FULL CONTROL AND FULFILLED HIS WORD!
Psa 118:8, IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN.
