Isaiah 16, After the wrath the KING comes!

Isa 16:1, Send the lamb to the ruler of the land, From SELA to the wilderness, TO THE MOUNT OF THE DAUGHTER OF ZION.

Isaiah was writing of judgement coming to Moab, so he says THAT MOAB SHOULD START AGAIN BRINGING TRIBUTE TO JERUSALEM AND SUBMITTING THEMSELVES TO GOD!

2Ki 3:4, Now Mesha king of Moab was a sheepbreeder, and HE REGULARLY PAID THE KING OF ISRAEL ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND LAMBS…

Isa 16:2, FOR IT SHALL BE AS A WANDERING BIRD THROWN OUT OF THE NEST; …

Isaiah compared Moab to a helpless little bird confused, weak and vulnerable. So are many Christians who wonder from church to church; Spurgeon called them “GIPSY-CHRISTIANS”!

Pro 27:8, Like a bird that wanders from its nest Is a man who wanders from his place. 

Isa 16:4 NLT, LET OUR REFUGEES STAY AMONG YOU. HIDE THEM FROM OUR ENEMIES UNTIL THE TERROR IS PAST.” WHEN OPPRESSION AND DESTRUCTION HAVE ENDED AND ENEMY RAIDERS HAVE DISAPPEARED, 

Isiah changes focus from Moab to the tribulation time when the remnant of Israel will hide in Petra (Sela) in Moab (Jordan).

Mat 24:15-16, “Therefore when you see the ‘ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), “THEN LET THOSE WHO ARE IN JUDEA FLEE TO THE MOUNTAINS.

Isa 16:5, IN MERCY THE THRONE WILL BE ESTABLISHED; AND ONE WILL SIT ON IT IN TRUTH, IN THE TABERNACLE OF DAVID, JUDGING AND SEEKING JUSTICE AND HASTENING RIGHTEOUSNESS.”

An Isaiah sees even further to the time in which the MESSIAH WILL REIGN ON THE THRONE OF DAVID. And, those that ran for their lives will be gathered again in Israel!

Mic 4:6-7, “In that day,” says the LORD, “I will assemble the lame, I will gather the outcast And those whom I have afflicted; I will make the lame a remnant, And the outcast a strong nation; SO THE LORD WILL REIGN OVER THEM IN MOUNT ZION FROM NOW ON, EVEN FOREVER.

JESUS, the MESSIAH will reign as KING of the earth! HIS throne will be forever and ever!  Be ready, the KING is coming!

Heb 1:8, But to the Son He says: “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM.

Isaiah 15, Judgement has come to MOAB!

Isa 15:1, THE BURDEN AGAINST MOAB. BECAUSE IN THE NIGHT Ar of MOAB IS LAID WASTE AND DESTROYED, Because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste And destroyed, 

The wrath of GOD has come to MOAB, which is modern day Jordan, South East of Israel. While everyone was sleeping destruction came!

Isa 15:2-3, He has gone up to the temple and Dibon, TO THE HIGH PLACES TO WEEP. Moab will wail over Nebo and over Medeba; On all their heads will be baldness, And every beard cut off. In their streets they will clothe themselves with sackcloth; … EVERYONE WILL WAIL, WEEPING BITTERLY.

Jer 48:42, AND MOAB SHALL BE DESTROYED AS A PEOPLE, BECAUSE HE EXALTED HIMSELF AGAINST THE LORD. 

No man no country can exalt themselves before GOD and live! When judgement comes the only thing people can do is cry.

Heb 10:31, IT IS A FEARFUL THING TO FALL INTO THE HANDS OF THE LIVING GOD. 

Isa 15:6-7, FOR THE WATERS OF NIMRIM WILL BE DESOLATE, FOR THE GREEN GRASS HAS WITHERED AWAY; THE GRASS FAILS, THERE IS NOTHING GREEN. THEREFORE THE ABUNDANCE THEY HAVE GAINED, AND WHAT THEY HAVE LAID UP, THEY WILL CARRY AWAY TO THE BROOK OF THE WILLOWS.

There is nothing left for MOAB, No water, no vegetation everything has withered away! THOSE WHO SURVIVE shall carry away what little they have left and flee away!

Isa 15:9, FOR THE WATERS OF DIMON WILL BE FULL OF BLOOD; BECAUSE I WILL BRING MORE UPON DIMON, LIONS UPON HIM WHO ESCAPES FROM MOAB, AND ON THE REMNANT OF THE LAND.”

The refugees who survive the initial attack will be killed! Complete and utter destruction! As Judgement came to Moab, so it must come here as well! The day of the LORD comes, and there is only one way to escape!

1Th 5:9, FOR GOD DID NOT APPOINT US TO WRATH, BUT TO OBTAIN SALVATION THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST, 

Remember GOD is love, but HE is also JUST! HE has given every sinner a way of salvation through HIS SON who died for us!

Rom 5:8-9, BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. MUCH MORE THEN, HAVING NOW BEEN JUSTIFIED BY HIS BLOOD, WE SHALL BE SAVED FROM WRATH THROUGH HIM.

Get right with the LORD for HE is coming!

Isaiah 14, Pride comes before the fall!

Isa 14:1, FOR THE LORD WILL HAVE MERCY ON JACOB, AND WILL STILL CHOOSE ISRAEL, AND SETTLE THEM IN THEIR OWN LAND. …

After the devastation of Israel by the hand of Babylon the LORD will bring back a remnant of HIS people! It also happened in WWII and it will also happen again in the near future! 

Rom 11:5, EVEN SO THEN, AT THIS PRESENT TIME THERE IS A REMNANT ACCORDING TO THE ELECTION OF GRACE. 

Isa 14:9, “HELL FROM BENEATH IS EXCITED ABOUT YOU, TO MEET YOU AT YOUR COMING…

Isaiah wrote about the king of Babylon, but he is also talking about satan himself!

Isa 14:12, “HOW YOU ARE FALLEN FROM HEAVEN, O LUCIFER, SON OF THE MORNING! HOW YOU ARE CUT DOWN TO THE GROUND, YOU WHO WEAKENED THE NATIONS!  

Satan once had a great position in heaven till iniquity (PRIDE) was found in him!

Eze 28:14-15, “You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, TILL INIQUITY WAS FOUND IN YOU.

He, satan, wanted to be GOD

Isa 14:13-14, For you have said in your heart: ‘I WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN, I WILL EXALT MY THRONE ABOVE THE STARS OF GOD; I WILL ALSO SIT ON THE MOUNT OF THE CONGREGATION ON THE FARTHEST SIDES OF THE NORTH; I WILL ASCEND ABOVE THE HEIGHTS OF THE CLOUDS, I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH.’

He wanted to be exalted like GOD, He wanted to sit on HIS throne and receive praise! YET!

Isa 14:15-16, YET YOU SHALL BE BROUGHT DOWN TO SHEOL, TO THE LOWEST DEPTHS OF THE PIT …

Rev 19:20, THEN THE BEAST WAS CAPTURED, AND WITH HIM THE FALSE PROPHET WHO WORKED SIGNS IN HIS PRESENCE, …. THESE TWO WERE CAST ALIVE INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE BURNING WITH BRIMSTONE.

THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD, AND WHAT HE SAYS WILL BE DONE! REMEMBER, AS THIS NATION CELEBRATES PRIDE MONTH, “PRIDE COMES BEFORE THE FALL”!

Isa 14:24, 27, THE LORD OF HOSTS HAS SWORN, SAYING, “SURELY, AS I HAVE THOUGHT, SO IT SHALL COME TO PASS, AND AS I HAVE PURPOSED, SO IT SHALL STAND… FOR THE LORD OF HOSTS HAS PURPOSED, AND WHO WILL ANNUL IT? HIS HAND IS STRETCHED OUT, AND WHO WILL TURN IT BACK?”

Isaiah 13, the day of the LORD!

Isa 13:1, The burden against Babylon which ISAIAH THE SON OF AMOZ SAW. 

What amazes me about Isaiah is that GOD reveals HIS coming judgement on Babylon, about 100 years after Isaiah’s death; then talks of the judgement coming to the world thousands of years later!

Isa 13:4-5, … THE LORD OF HOSTS MUSTERS THE ARMY FOR BATTLE. They come from a far country, From the end of heaven—THE LORD AND HIS WEAPONS OF INDIGNATION, TO DESTROY THE WHOLE LAND.

Babylon was used by GOD as a Rod to punish HIS own people, Israel. Now judgement is coming to Babylon! In the book of Daniel chapter 5 speaks of this!

Dan 5:28, 30 PERES: YOUR KINGDOM HAS BEEN DIVIDED, AND GIVEN TO THE MEDES AND PERSIANS.” That very night Belshazzar, king of the Chaldeans, was slain.

Isa 13:9-10, BEHOLD, THE DAY OF THE LORD COMES, Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, To lay the land desolate; And HE WILL DESTROY ITS SINNERS FROM IT. For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine.

Now Isaiah is focused on the DAY OF THE LORD.  The LORD comes with fierce wrath upon the world, and signs will be seen in the heavens above! The seven-year tribulation!

Mat 24:29, “IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE TRIBULATION OF THOSE DAYS THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT; THE STARS WILL FALL FROM HEAVEN, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

Isa 13:11-12, “I WILL PUNISH THE WORLD FOR ITS EVIL, And the wicked for their iniquity; I WILL HALT THE ARROGANCE OF THE PROUD, AND WILL LAY LOW THE HAUGHTINESS OF THE TERRIBLE. I WILL MAKE A MORTAL MORE RARE THAN FINE GOLD, A MAN MORE THAN THE GOLDEN WEDGE OF OPHIR.

Today, the world has about 8 Billion living souls, but the DAY OF THE LORD will destroy the vast majority of them! HE CAME AS A LAMB, BUT NOW HE COMES AS A LION!

Psa 110:5-6, The Lord is at Your right hand; He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath. He shall judge among the nations, He shall fill the places with dead bodies, He shall execute the heads of many countries.

HE is a GOD of LOVE, but HE is also JUST and righteous! HIS wrath is near! BE READY FOR JUDGEMENT IS COMING!

Isaiah 12, Come drink from the fountain of life!

Isa 12:1, AND IN THAT DAY YOU WILL SAY: “O LORD, I will praise You; THOUGH YOU WERE ANGRY WITH ME, YOUR ANGER IS TURNED AWAY, AND YOU COMFORT ME. 

The day is coming when ISRAEL SHALL MOURN at the coming of the KING their MESSIAH; for they will look at HIM whom they rejected and pierced on the cross! WE CRUCIFIED OUR OWN MESSIAH? WE REJECTED HIM AND TORTURED OUR OWN KING? FORGIVE US LORD!

Zec 12:10, “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; THEN THEY WILL LOOK ON ME WHOM THEY PIERCED. YES, THEY WILL MOURN FOR HIM AS ONE MOURNS FOR HIS ONLY SON, AND GRIEVE FOR HIM AS ONE GRIEVES FOR A FIRSTBORN. 

Isa 12:2, Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ ” 

Our good deed our good thoughts or our money doesn’t save us; only in GOD do we find salvation! Only in HIM do we find life!

Isa 12:3, THEREFORE WITH JOY YOU WILL DRAW WATER FROM THE WELLS OF SALVATION. 

With this water HE will fill us with the HOLY SPIRIT, and we shall rejoice in the KING!

Joh 4:14, BUT WHOEVER DRINKS OF THE WATER THAT I SHALL GIVE HIM WILL NEVER THIRST. BUT THE WATER THAT I SHALL GIVE HIM WILL BECOME IN HIM A FOUNTAIN OF WATER SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.” 

Isa 12:4-5, AND IN THAT DAY YOU WILL SAY: “PRAISE THE LORD, CALL UPON HIS NAME; DECLARE HIS DEEDS AMONG THE PEOPLES, MAKE MENTION THAT HIS NAME IS EXALTED.  SING TO THE LORD, FOR HE HAS DONE EXCELLENT THINGS; THIS IS KNOWN IN ALL THE EARTH.

The worship of HIM the KING shall fill the earth for HE reigns in Jerusalem, and all the world shall see HIM!

Isa 12:6, Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, FOR GREAT IS THE HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL IN YOUR MIDST!” 

HE WILL REIGN AS KING OF ALL THE EARTH IN OUR VERY PRESENCE. NO MORE ATHIEST, NO MORE CRIME FOR HE SHALL RULE WITH A ROD OF IRON! THE KING IS COMING! BE READY!

Isaiah 11, The coming KING! Get ready, look up!

Isa 11:1, THERE SHALL COME FORTH A ROD FROM THE STEM OF JESSE, AND A BRANCH SHALL GROW OUT OF HIS ROOTS. 

Isaiah seeing the shocking judgement of GOD upon HIS people; like trees in a forest that were cut down, so were HIS people!

Isa 10:18-19, And it will consume the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, Both soul and body; And THEY WILL BE AS WHEN A SICK MAN WASTES AWAY. THEN THE REST OF THE TREES OF HIS FOREST WILL BE SO FEW IN NUMBER That a child may write them.

But, out of one of those stumps, Jesse the father of David, shall rise up a strong BRANCH by the name of JESUS, the SON of the living GOD!

Jer 23:5, “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “THAT I WILL RAISE TO DAVID A BRANCH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; A KING SHALL REIGN AND PROSPER, And execute judgment and RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE EARTH.

Isa 11:3-4a, His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And HE SHALL NOT JUDGE BY THE SIGHT OF HIS EYES, NOR DECIDE BY THE HEARING OF HIS EARS; BUT WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS He shall judge the poor, …

JESUS will reign as KING of all the earth (Zec 14:9), and HE shall judge in righteousness! HE will not need witnesses for HE knows all things!

Isa 11:4b, He shall strike the earth WITH THE ROD OF HIS MOUTH, AND WITH THE BREATH OF HIS LIPS HE SHALL SLAY THE WICKED.

HE spoke the universe into existence, by the breath of HIS lips HE created the world! HE shall strike the nations with the words of HIS lips!

Psa 33:9, FOR HE SPOKE, AND IT WAS DONE; HE COMMANDED, AND IT STOOD FAST. 

Rev 19:15, Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of ALMIGHTY GOD.

Isa 11:5 NLT, He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment. 

Rev 19:16, And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS. 

THE LORD IS COMING BE PREPARED!

Rev 22:20, He who testifies to these things says, “SURELY I AM COMING QUICKLY.” Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS!

Isaiah 10, GOD can use anyone!

Isa 10:3, WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THE DAY OF PUNISHMENT, AND IN THE DESOLATION WHICH WILL COME FROM AFAR? TO WHOM WILL YOU FLEE FOR HELP? AND WHERE WILL YOU LEAVE YOUR GLORY? 

GOD CAN USE ANYONE even a wicked nation, Assyria, to bring judgement on HIS own people. WHAT WILL YOU DO? WHO WILL HELP YOU? This are HIS people, but Israel refuses to listen; Judgement is coming, Hab 1:5-11

Hab 1:5-6, “Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you. FOR INDEED I AM RAISING UP THE CHALDEANS, A BITTER AND HASTY NATION ….

Isa 10:4, WITHOUT ME THEY SHALL BOW DOWN AMONG THE PRISONERS, And they shall fall among the slain….

They forsook the LORD who protected them, Now they will be brought low!

Lev 26:17, I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. 

Isa 10:5-6, “WOE TO ASSYRIA, THE ROD OF MY ANGER AND THE STAFF IN WHOSE HAND IS MY INDIGNATION.

Again, GOD can use anyone to do HIS will! But, Assyria came up in pride conquering nations and making their princes into kings

Isa 10:8, For he says, ‘ARE NOT MY PRINCES ALTOGETHER KINGS? 

2Ki 19:10-12, … ‘DO NOT LET YOUR GOD IN WHOM YOU TRUST DECEIVE YOU, saying, “Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” LOOK! YOU HAVE HEARD WHAT THE KINGS OF ASSYRIA HAVE DONE TO ALL LANDS BY UTTERLY DESTROYING THEM; and shall you be delivered? HAVE THE GODS OF THE NATIONS DELIVERED THOSE WHOM MY FATHERS HAVE DESTROYED…

Pro 16:18, Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. 

Isa 10:15, SHALL THE AX BOAST ITSELF AGAINST HIM WHO CHOPS WITH IT? Or shall THE SAW EXALT ITSELF AGAINST HIM WHO SAWS WITH IT? AS IF A ROD COULD WIELD ITSELF AGAINST THOSE WHO LIFT IT UP, OR AS IF A STAFF COULD LIFT UP, AS IF IT WERE NOT WOOD! 

if GOD uses you, do not boast or brag, but remember, GOD used a donkey to speak to balaam and HE can use you as well!

1Co 1:27, But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;

Isaiah 9, The coming KING!

Isa 9:2, THE PEOPLE WHO WALKED IN DARKNESS HAVE SEEN A GREAT LIGHT; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. 

Because of the wrath of GOD in the land of Israel there was great darkness, but now Isaiah sees a future event; THE COMING OF THE MESSIAH THE LORD JESUS! But, this applies to the us as well! For we were once in darkness, but now we see!

Joh 8:12, Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HE WHO FOLLOWS ME SHALL NOT WALK IN DARKNESS, BUT HAVE THE LIGHT OF LIFE.”

Isa 9:4, FOR YOU HAVE BROKEN THE YOKE OF HIS BURDEN AND THE STAFF OF HIS SHOULDER, THE ROD OF HIS OPPRESSOR, AS IN THE DAY OF MIDIAN.

This is the work of the MESSIAH; for HE has broken the chains that bound us to sin, and the rod of him who oppressed us, satan!

Col 2:13-14, And you, BEING DEAD IN YOUR TRESPASSES AND THE UNCIRCUMCISION OF YOUR FLESH, He has made alive together with Him, HAVING FORGIVEN YOU ALL TRESPASSES, …, HAVING NAILED IT TO THE CROSS.

Isa 9:6, FOR UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN; AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER. AND HIS NAME WILL BE CALLED WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. 

This is the fulfillment of Isaiah 7:14 prophecy, “The virgin shall conceive”. For HE is the light of the world, and through HIM we have life!

Joh 3:16-17, FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE. FOR GOD DID NOT SEND HIS SON INTO THE WORLD TO CONDEMN THE WORLD, BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED.

Isa 9:7, OF THE INCREASE OF HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE THERE WILL BE NO END, UPON THE THRONE OF DAVID AND OVER HIS KINGDOM, TO ORDER IT AND ESTABLISH IT WITH JUDGMENT AND JUSTICE FROM THAT TIME FORWARD, EVEN FOREVER. THE ZEAL OF THE LORD OF HOSTS WILL PERFORM THIS. 

Isaiah sees further in the future to the second coming of CHRIST JESUS! For HE first came as a lamb among wolves to pay the price of our captivity, but HE is coming again to rule as the KING of all the earth!

Zec 14:9, AND THE LORD SHALL BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH. In that day it shall be “The LORD is one,” And His name one. 

He fulfilled HIS first coming, and will fulfill HIS second coming! For HE is not a man that HE should lie, BE READY, THE KING IS COMING!

Isaiah 8, At HIS wrath the world trembles!

Isa 8:5-7, The LORD also spoke to me again, saying: “INASMUCH AS THESE PEOPLE REFUSED THE WATERS OF SHILOAH THAT FLOW SOFTLY, AND REJOICE IN REZIN AND IN REMALIAH’S SON; Now therefore, behold, the LORD brings up over them The waters of the River, strong and mighty—THE KING OF ASSYRIA AND ALL HIS GLORY; HE WILL GO UP OVER ALL HIS CHANNELS AND GO OVER ALL HIS BANKS. 

GOD’s provision is described as a soft flowing river, yet Israel rejected it! Now in judgement GOD brings Assyria described as a strong and mighty river which overflows their land!

Isa 8:8, He will pass through Judah, He will overflow and pass over, HE WILL REACH UP TO THE NECK; And the stretching out of his wings Will fill the breadth of Your land, O Immanuel.

Assyria consumed the 10 tribes of Israel and almost consumed Judah; that raging river, Assyria, flowed up to their necks!  THIS IS THE JUDGEMENT OF GOD OVER HIS PEOPLE, YET JUDAH WAS SPARED BUT AT A GREAT COST!

2Ki 18:13-14, And in the fourteenth year of King Hezekiah, SENNACHERIB KING OF ASSYRIA CAME UP AGAINST ALL THE FORTIFIED CITIES OF JUDAH AND TOOK THEM. Then Hezekiah king of Judah sent to the king of Assyria at Lachish, saying, “I have done wrong; turn away from me; WHATEVER YOU IMPOSE ON ME I WILL PAY… SO HEZEKIAH GAVE HIM ALL THE SILVER THAT WAS FOUND IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD

They stripped the house of the LORD of all it’s gold and silver to pay for their freedom!

Isa 8:19, And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” SHOULD NOT A PEOPLE SEEK THEIR GOD? SHOULD THEY SEEK THE DEAD ON BEHALF OF THE LIVING? 

Israel had fallen so much that instead of seeking their GOD, they sought mediums and wizards? The same is true today, rather than seeking the Living GOD, they seek after the dead; FOR THE DEAD HAVE NO GOD!

Luk 9:60, JESUS said to him, “LET THE DEAD BURY THEIR OWN DEAD, BUT YOU GO AND PREACH THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” 

There are many spiritually dead people walking this earth today, but as Christians we much preach the WORD to this dead world! FOR ONLY HIS WORD CAN BRING LIFE TO THE DEAD! SEEK HIM AND LIVE!

Jer 10:10, BUT THE LORD IS THE TRUE GOD; HE IS THE LIVING GOD AND THE EVERLASTING KING. AT HIS WRATH THE EARTH WILL TREMBLE, AND THE NATIONS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENDURE HIS INDIGNATION.

Isaiah 7, HE is Faithful to HIS promises!

Isa 7:1, Now it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, THAT REZIN KING OF SYRIA AND PEKAH THE SON OF REMALIAH, KING OF ISRAEL, went up to Jerusalem to make war against it, but could not prevail against it.

Israel with other nations attacked Judah in Jerusalem unsuccessfully! The LORD protected king Ahaz, even though he was an evil man who sacrificed his son (2Ki 16:1-4), but by him would come a good king Hezekiah!

Isa 7:3-6, Then the LORD said to Isaiah, “Go out now to meet Ahaz….  and say to him: ‘TAKE HEED, AND BE QUIET; DO NOT FEAR OR BE FAINTHEARTED … HAVE PLOTTED EVIL AGAINST YOU, SAYING, LET US GO UP AGAINST JUDAH AND TROUBLE IT…

It was a chaotic time, brother fighting brother (Israel & Judah), but the LORD made it clear!

Isa 7:7, thus says the Lord GOD: “IT SHALL NOT STAND, NOR SHALL IT COME TO PASS. 

Do not fear, their plans will not come to pass!

Isa 7:10-12, Moreover the LORD spoke again to Ahaz, saying, “ASK A SIGN FOR YOURSELF FROM THE LORD YOUR GOD; ASK IT EITHER IN THE DEPTH OR IN THE HEIGHT ABOVE.” But Ahaz said, “I WILL NOT ASK, NOR WILL I TEST THE LORD!”

JESUS once said, “A wicked and adulterous generations seeks after a sign..(Matt 16:4)”, but it was the LORD that said to ask for a sing! The LORD also said to test HIM regarding our finances (Mal 3:10)! But how many of us do?

Mal 3:10, Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And TRY ME NOW IN THIS,” SAYS THE LORD OF HOSTS, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. 

Isa 7:14, THEREFORE THE LORD HIMSELF WILL GIVE YOU A SIGN: BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL CONCEIVE AND BEAR A SON, AND SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL. 

Since Ahaz refused to ask for a sign GOD HIMSELF gave a sign of the coming of HIS own SON JESUS; IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US!

Mat 1:23, “BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL BE WITH CHILD, AND BEAR A SON, AND THEY SHALL CALL HIS NAME IMMANUEL,” which is translated, “God with us.” 

Remember, GOD is not a man that HE should lie, and HE is completely faithful to HIS promises!

2Ti 2:13, IF WE ARE FAITHLESS, HE REMAINS FAITHFUL; HE CANNOT DENY HIMSELF. 

Deu 7:9, “THEREFORE KNOW THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD, HE IS GOD, THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO KEEPS COVENANT AND MERCY FOR A THOUSAND GENERATIONS WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS;
