Psalm 7, Depart from evil!

Psa 7:9-10, OH, LET THE WICKEDNESS OF THE WICKED COME TO AN END, BUT ESTABLISH THE JUST; FOR THE RIGHTEOUS GOD TESTS THE HEARTS AND MINDS. MY DEFENSE IS OF GOD, WHO SAVES THE UPRIGHT IN HEART.

As wickedness seems to be increasing, yet THE DAY IS COMING WHEN HE WILL DEAL WITH THEM SEVERELY! HE CAME AS A LAMB, BUT HE RETURNS AS A LION! HE WILL SEPARATE THE WICKED FROM THE RIGHTEOUS!

Mat 25:32, ALL THE NATIONS WILL BE GATHERED BEFORE HIM, and HE will separate them one from another, AS A SHEPHERD DIVIDES HIS SHEEP FROM THE GOATS. 

Psa 7:11, GOD IS A JUST JUDGE, AND GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED EVERY DAY. 

Some people say that GOD can’t get mad for HE is a GOD of love! True, THE LORD IS LOVE, AND HIS WAYS ARE PERFECT, BUT HE IS JUST AND SHOWS NO FAVORITISM TO ANYONE!

Deu 32:4, HE IS THE ROCK, HIS WORK IS PERFECT; FOR ALL HIS WAYS ARE JUSTICE, A GOD OF TRUTH AND WITHOUT INJUSTICE; RIGHTEOUS AND UPRIGHT IS HE.

Col 3:25, BUT HE WHO DOES WRONG WILL BE REPAID FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE, AND THERE IS NO PARTIALITY. 

Psa 7:14-15, Behold, the wicked brings forth iniquity; Yes, he conceives trouble and brings forth falsehood. HE MADE A PIT AND DUG IT OUT, AND HAS FALLEN INTO THE DITCH WHICH HE MADE.

Pro 5:22, HIS OWN INIQUITIES ENTRAP THE WICKED MAN, AND HE IS CAUGHT IN THE CORDS OF HIS SIN. 

Job 20:5, THAT THE TRIUMPHING OF THE WICKED IS SHORT, AND THE JOY OF THE HYPOCRITE IS BUT FOR A MOMENT? 

Evil will rise up but it’s only temporary! SEEK THE LORD WHILE HE MAYBE FOUND, AND DO WHAT IS RIGHT IN HIS EYES!

Psa 34:14-15, DEPART FROM EVIL AND DO GOOD; SEEK PEACE AND PURSUE IT. THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN TO THEIR CRY.

2Chronicles 36, the day of the LORD!

In this chapter 4 kings reigned, Jehoahaz was taken to Egypt. Jehoiakim was taken to Babylon. Jehoiachin was also taken to Babylon; leaving Zedekiah who did evil in the sight of the LORD!

2Ch 36:13-14, And he also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear an oath by God; BUT HE STIFFENED HIS NECK AND HARDENED HIS HEART AGAINST TURNING TO THE LORD GOD OF ISRAEL. Moreover ALL THE LEADERS OF THE PRIESTS AND THE PEOPLE transgressed more and more, according to all the abominations of the nations, and defiled the house of the LORD ….

Everyone rebelled against the LORD

2Ch 36:15-16, And the LORD God of their fathers SENT WARNINGS TO THEM BY HIS MESSENGERS, …BECAUSE HE HAD COMPASSION ON HIS PEOPLE AND ON HIS DWELLING PLACE. BUT THEY MOCKED the messengers of God, DESPISED HIS WORDS, and SCOFFED AT HIS PROPHETS, UNTIL THE WRATH OF THE LORD AROSE AGAINST HIS PEOPLE, TILL THERE WAS NO REMEDY.

THEY REJECTED THE LORDS WARNINGS!

2Pe 3:9b, …BUT IS LONGSUFFERING TOWARD US, NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE

TODAY, SO MANY PEOPLE MOCK THE WORD OF GOD, THEY REJECT THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION WHICH COST HIM EVERYTHING.

Joh 10:11, “I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD. THE GOOD SHEPHERD GIVES HIS LIFE FOR THE SHEEP.

YET THE DAY OF THE LORD IS COMING AND THERE IS NO REMEMDY FOR IT!

Isa 13:9-11, BEHOLD, THE DAY OF THE LORD COMES, CRUEL, WITH BOTH WRATH AND FIERCE ANGER, TO LAY THE LAND DESOLATE; AND HE WILL DESTROY ITS SINNERS FROM IT. For the stars of heaven and their constellations Will not give their light; The sun will be darkened in its going forth, And the moon will not cause its light to shine. “I WILL PUNISH THE WORLD FOR ITS EVIL, AND THE WICKED FOR THEIR INIQUITY; I WILL HALT THE ARROGANCE OF THE PROUD, AND WILL LAY LOW THE HAUGHTINESS OF THE TERRIBLE.

HE IS ALWAYS LISTENING TO US, REPENT NOW FOR HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS. HIS WARTH IS COMING BE PREPARED FOR HE IS NEAR!

2Kings 22, The coming wrath!

2Ki 22:1-2, JOSIAH was eight years old when he became king, … AND HE DID WHAT WAS RIGHT IN THE SIGHT OF THE LORD, AND WALKED IN ALL THE WAYS OF HIS FATHER DAVID; HE DID NOT TURN ASIDE TO THE RIGHT HAND OR TO THE LEFT.

1Ki 13:2, …THUS SAYS THE LORD: Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born…

2Ki 22:8, Then Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, “I HAVE FOUND THE BOOK OF THE LAW IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.” AND HILKIAH GAVE THE BOOK TO SHAPHAN, AND HE READ IT. 

For years they went by tradition, what they heard, rather than what was written! They found the Book of the LAW in the House of the LORD! Wow! LIVING WITHOUT GUIDANCE!

2Ki 22:11, Now it happened, WHEN THE KING HEARD THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THE LAW, THAT HE TORE HIS CLOTHES. 

HE knew, GOD’S WRATH IS COMING!

2Ki 22:13, “Go, inquire of the LORD for me, …FOR GREAT IS THE WRATH OF THE LORD THAT IS AROUSED AGAINST US, BECAUSE OUR FATHERS HAVE NOT OBEYED THE WORDS OF THIS BOOK, …

More than 300 years have passed since the prophecy of the Josiah, 1Ki 13:2! Josiah knows the wrath of GOD is coming! JOSIAH WILL START TO CLEAN HOUSE IN JERUSALEM BUT THE LORD WILL DO WHAT HE PROMISED!

1Pe 2:1, Therefore, laying aside all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 

PREPARE YOURSELF, FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD IS NEAR! HE IS COMING WITH DYED GARMENTS DIPPED IN BLOOD; FOR HE TRODDEN THE WINEPRESS ALONE!

2Kings 17, the fall of Israel!

2Ki 17:6-7, In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria and CARRIED ISRAEL AWAY TO ASSYRIA, …. For so it was that THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL HAD SINNED AGAINST THE LORD THEIR GOD, … and they had FEARED OTHER GODS,

It was time for judgement for Israel and only Judah was in their land!

Hos 10:7, As for Samaria, HER KING IS CUT OFF LIKE A TWIG ON THE WATER. 

2Ki 17:13-14, Yet the LORD testified …. “Turn from your evil ways, and keep My commandments and My statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by My servants the prophets.” NEVERTHELESS THEY WOULD NOT HEAR, BUT STIFFENED THEIR NECKS, LIKE THE NECKS OF THEIR FATHERS, WHO DID NOT BELIEVE IN THE LORD THEIR GOD.

Amo 4:2, The Lord GOD has sworn by His holiness: “Behold, the days shall come upon you When He will take you away with fishhooks, And your posterity with fishhooks. 

The people of the northern kingdom (Israel) were led away naked and connected together with strings and fishhooks pierced through their lower lip! The judgement of the LORD!

2Ki 17:18, Therefore the LORD was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight; there was none left but the tribe of Judah alone. 

Nah 1:6, Who can stand before His indignation? And who can endure the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, And the rocks are thrown down by Him.
