Psalm 118, He is the GATE, the DOOR!

Psa 118:1, Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. 

This Psalm begins and ends with the same way way! Israel sang this verse when the temple’s foundation was laid in place!

Ezr 3:11, And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the LORD: “FOR HE IS GOOD, FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER toward Israel.” Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, BECAUSE THE FOUNDATION OF THE HOUSE OF THE LORD WAS LAID.

Psa 118:6-7, THE LORD IS ON MY SIDE; I will not fear. What can man do to me? THE LORD IS FOR ME among those who help me; THEREFORE I SHALL SEE MY DESIRE ON THOSE WHO HATE ME.

Our faith is in the LORD who has promised us many things in HIS word! Even though lawlessness is increasing we know that HE is with us and for us!

Heb 13:6, So we may boldly say: “THE LORD IS MY HELPER; I WILL NOT FEAR. WHAT CAN MAN DO TO ME?” 

Psa 118:8-9, IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN MAN. IT IS BETTER TO TRUST IN THE LORD THAN TO PUT CONFIDENCE IN PRINCES.

People will generally fail you for we are imperfect creatures! Our leaders, who profess to be wise, have failed us!

Rom 1:22, PROFESSING TO BE WISE, THEY BECAME FOOLS, 

YET HE, THE LORD IS OUR ROCK OUR STABILITY OUR STRENGTH TRUST IN HIM RATHER THAN ANY MAN OR FAKE LEADER!

Psa 118:19-20, OPEN TO ME THE GATES OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; I WILL GO THROUGH THEM, And I will praise the LORD. THIS IS THE GATE OF THE LORD, THROUGH WHICH THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL ENTER.

THAT GATE IN WHICH ONLY THE RIGHTEOUS MAY ENTER IS JESUS! FOR HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE! NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH HIM ALONE!

Psa 118:22, THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED HAS BECOME THE CHIEF CORNERSTONE.

JESUS IS THE STONE THAT WAS REJECTED, HE IS THE GATE OF THE RIGHTEOUS! HE IS COMING BACK AND WE SHALL SEE HIM FACE TO FACE! BE READY, LOOK UP FOR HE DRAW NEAR!

Luk 13:24, “STRIVE TO ENTER THROUGH THE NARROW GATE, FOR MANY, I SAY TO YOU, WILL SEEK TO ENTER AND WILL NOT BE ABLE.

Psalm 111, Study HIS word!

Psa 111:1, Praise the LORD! I will praise the LORD with my WHOLE HEART, IN THE ASSEMBLY OF THE UPRIGHT AND IN THE CONGREGATION. 

The day is coming, the day is near when the assembly of saints will be gathered together IN THE WORSHIP OF OUR KING, WORSHIPPING HIM WITH ALL WE HAVE!

Psa 149:1, Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. 

Psa 111:2, THE WORKS OF THE LORD ARE GREAT, STUDIED BY ALL WHO HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM. 

The Bible is studied by Pastors, scientist, archaeologist, and those seeking the truth of GOD! Archaeologist in Israel have found out that their most trusted source of information comes directly from the Bible!

Psa 111:3-4, HIS WORK IS HONORABLE AND GLORIOUS, AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER. HE HAS MADE HIS WONDERFUL WORKS TO BE REMEMBERED; THE LORD IS GRACIOUS AND FULL OF COMPASSION.

HIS ways are perfect, while we fall short on every level! We make statements saying the LORD will do this, and HE will do that, but we use our limited knowledge and foresight! HE ALWAYS DOES WHAT’S BEST EVEN FOR HE KNOWS THE OUTCOME OF THE MATTER!

Isa 44:7, And WHO CAN PROCLAIM AS I DO? Then let him declare it and set it in order for ME, SINCE I APPOINTED the ancient people. AND THE THINGS THAT ARE COMING AND SHALL COME, LET THEM SHOW THESE TO THEM. 

We may not understand all that happening now, but rest assured HE IS COMPLETE CONTROL! WHILE HATERS HATE, AND DOUBTERS DOUBT ONE DAY ALL THINGS WILL BE UNDER HIS FEET!

Psa 111:10, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever. 

Job said it best

Job 28:28, And to man He said, ‘BEHOLD, THE FEAR OF THE LORD, THAT IS WISDOM, AND TO DEPART FROM EVIL IS UNDERSTANDING.’

Psalm 110, HE SHALL REIGN!

Psa 110:1, THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD,”SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL.”

The Pharisees gathered together, JESUS asked them “What do you think about the CHRIST? Whose SON is HE”? They replied the SON of David! Then JESUS said

Mat 22:43-45, HE said to them, “How then does David in the Spirit call HIM ‘LORD,’ saying: ‘THE LORD SAID TO MY LORD, “SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL” ‘? If David then calls Him ‘LORD,’ HOW IS HE HIS SON?”

They couldn’t answer but we can! JESUS is in the lineage of David, YET HE is LORD the SON of the living GOD! Also, David being king shows that at least two others are greater than he!

Heb 1:3, who being the brightness of His glory and the EXPRESS IMAGE OF HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when HE HAD BY HIMSELF PURGED OUR SINS, SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE MAJESTY ON HIGH,

JESUS is co-equal to GOD the expressed image of the FATHER!

Heb 1:8-9, But to the SON HE says: “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM. YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU….

Psa 110:1b, … SIT AT MY RIGHT HAND, TILL I MAKE YOUR ENEMIES YOUR FOOTSTOOL.” 

Paul wrote that HE will reign until the last of HIS enemies are destroyed including death! Then HE hands everything over to the FATHER!

1Co 15:24-26, THEN COMES THE END, WHEN HE DELIVERS THE KINGDOM TO GOD THE FATHER, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power FOR HE MUST REIGN TILL HE HAS PUT ALL ENEMIES UNDER HIS FEET. THE LAST ENEMY THAT WILL BE DESTROYED IS DEATH.

The Father is working through HIS word until all things are under HIS SON’s control!

Isa 55:11, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 

This is an amazing Psalm and I only focused on one verse! There is so much here! GOD be praised!

Psalm 103, the best is yet to come!

Psa 103:1-2, BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL, AND FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS:

Most people remember the LORD only when they fall into hard times! LORD HELP! But, when everything is well they tend to forget!

1Th 5:18, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 

Psa 103:3, WHO FORGIVES ALL YOUR INIQUITIES, Who heals all your DISEASES, 

The first Benefit listed here is by far the most important blessing one can receive! Forgiveness of sins! WHAT GOOD IS IT IF HE HEALS ALL YOUR DISEASES, YET WE END UP IN HELL?

Mar 2:5, When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the PARALYTIC, “SON, YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN YOU.” 

The Paralytic needed to be forgiven, but he and the others only saw his need to walk!

Mar 2:10-11, BUT THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT THE SON OF MAN HAS POWER ON EARTH TO FORGIVE SINS”—He said to the paralytic, “I SAY TO YOU, ARISE, TAKE UP YOUR BED, AND GO TO YOUR HOUSE.”

Does HE heal all our diseases? Well in this world no, because our great grandparents chose to disobey GOD from the very start! But, in a future sense YES, we shall receive new bodies and we shall be like HIM! 1John 3:2

1Cor 15:51, 53, Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, BUT WE SHALL ALL BE CHANGED— … FOR THIS CORRUPTIBLE MUST PUT ON INCORRUPTION, AND THIS MORTAL MUST PUT ON IMMORTALITY.

Psa 103:4, WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM DESTRUCTION, WHO CROWNS YOU WITH LOVINGKINDNESS AND TENDER MERCIES,

HE has redeemed us from hell, like a twig being pulled out of the furnace! We all deserve death, yet HE clothes us with HIS tender mercies!

Isa 61:10, I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, My soul shall be joyful in my God; FOR HE HAS CLOTHED ME WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION, HE HAS COVERED ME WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, …

The best is yet to come! Stand fast with the LORD for HIS mercies endure forever!

Psalm 98, HIS is coming!

Psa 98:1, OH, SING TO THE LORD A NEW SONG! FOR HE HAS DONE MARVELOUS THINGS; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory. 

What the LORD has done for us is amazing! Other, so-called gods, religions, deities, require the people to go to them, BUT OUR LORD CAME TO US AND ALLOWED HIMSELF TO BE CRUCIFIED FOR THE PENALTY OF OUR SINS! HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED!

Luk 1:46-47, 49, And Mary said: “MY SOUL MAGNIFIES THE LORD, AND MY SPIRIT HAS REJOICED IN GOD MY SAVIOR…. FOR HE WHO IS MIGHTY HAS DONE GREAT THINGS FOR ME, AND HOLY IS HIS NAME. 

Psa 98:2, The LORD has made known HIS SALVATION; HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS HE has revealed in the sight of the nations. 

The LORD has revealed HIS salvation and righteousness to those willing to hear and humble themselves! But, the day is coming where the nations will know this truth!

Luk 3:6, AND ALL FLESH SHALL SEE THE SALVATION OF GOD.’ “

Every knee, in heaven, earth and in hell shall bow down at the name of JESUS!

Php 2:10-11, THAT AT THE NAME OF JESUS EVERY KNEE SHOULD BOW, OF THOSE IN HEAVEN, AND OF THOSE ON EARTH, AND OF THOSE UNDER THE EARTH, AND THAT EVERY TONGUE SHOULD CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER.

Psa 98:7-8, Let the sea roar, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell in it; Let the rivers clap their hands; Let the hills be joyful together before the LORD,

ALL of HIS creation shall worship HIM at HIS coming; HE shall judge the world righteously!

Psa 98:9, FOR HE IS COMING TO JUDGE THE EARTH. WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS HE SHALL JUDGE THE WORLD, AND THE PEOPLES WITH EQUITY. 

Psa 67:4, Oh, let the nations be glad and sing for joy! FOR YOU SHALL JUDGE THE PEOPLE RIGHTEOUSLY, AND GOVERN THE NATIONS ON EARTH. SELAH 

HE SHALL BE KING OF ALL THE EARTH, AND WILL RULE WITH AN IRON FIST! BE READY FOR HE IS NEAR!

Rev 22:20, He who testifies to these things says, “SURELY I AM COMING QUICKLY.” Amen. EVEN SO, COME, LORD JESUS!

Psalm 96, The Good news!

Psa 96:1-2, Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His name; PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS OF HIS SALVATION FROM DAY TO DAY.

We as Christians are able to sing to the LORD for HE has paid our debt and cleansed us through HIS Blood! JESUS said “go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature, Mar 16:15”.

Eph 2:17-19, And HE came and preached PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE AFAR OFF AND TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR. For through HIM we both have access by one Spirit to the FATHER. Now, therefore, YOU ARE NO LONGER STRANGERS AND FOREIGNERS, BUT FELLOW CITIZENS WITH THE SAINTS AND MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD,

Psa 96:3, DECLARE HIS GLORY AMONG THE NATIONS, His wonders among ALL peoples. 

If you have received the good news of HIS salvation, don’t keep it to yourself, make it known throughout the world!

Mat 28:19-20, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Psa 96:10, SAY AMONG THE NATIONS, “The LORD reigns; The world also is firmly established, It shall not be moved; He shall judge the peoples righteously.” 

The nations worry about global warming, but this is a GLOBAL WARNING, the LORD is coming back to judge the living and the dead!

Gen 8:22, While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night SHALL NOT CEASE

Psa 96:12-13, Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it. Then all the trees of the woods will rejoice before the LORD. FOR HE IS COMING, FOR HE IS COMING TO JUDGE THE EARTH. He shall judge the world with righteousness, And the peoples with His truth.

The fields, the trees, in fact the whole world will rejoice at HIS coming

Rom 8:21, because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.  BE PREPARED FOR HE IS NEAR, BE READY FOR HE IS COMING SOON! PROCLAIM THE GOOD NEWS THAT THERE IS SALVATION IN HIM!

Psalm 76, Who can stand?

Psa 76:1, …In Judah God is known; His name is great in Israel. In Salem also is His tabernacle, And His dwelling place in Zion.

GOD made HIS presence know to HIS people when king Sennacherib invaded Israel! They surrounded Jerusalem and he sent the Rabshakeh, an Assyrian Officer, to speak to Israel!

Isa 36:15, NOR LET HEZEKIAH MAKE YOU TRUST IN THE LORD, saying, “THE LORD WILL SURELY DELIVER US; this city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.” ‘

Psa 76:3, There He broke the arrows of the bow, The shield and sword of battle. Selah 

Isa 54:17, NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU SHALL PROSPER, AND EVERY TONGUE WHICH RISES AGAINST YOU IN JUDGMENT YOU SHALL CONDEMN….

Psa 76:5-6, The stouthearted were plundered; THEY HAVE SUNK INTO THEIR SLEEP; … At Your rebuke, O God of Jacob, Both the chariot and horse were cast INTO A DEAD SLEEP.

In one night, the GOD of Israel made HIMSELF known; when HE slew 185,000 Assyrians!

Isa 37:36, Then the ANGEL OF THE LORD went out, and killed in the camp of the Assyrians one hundred and eighty-five thousand; …

Psa 76:7-8, You, Yourself, are to be feared; And WHO MAY STAND IN YOUR PRESENCE WHEN ONCE YOU ARE ANGRY? You caused judgment to be heard from heaven; THE EARTH FEARED AND WAS STILL,

YES, the LORD is a GOD of love, but HE is also just and righteous! HE will condemn the wicked for the day of the LORD is near!

Nah 1:6, WHO CAN STAND BEFORE HIS INDIGNATION? AND WHO CAN ENDURE THE FIERCENESS OF HIS ANGER? HIS FURY IS POURED OUT LIKE FIRE, AND THE ROCKS ARE THROWN DOWN BY HIM. 

Psa 76:11-12, Make vows to the LORD your God, and pay them; …. HE IS AWESOME TO THE kings OF THE EARTH.

Nah 1:7, The LORD is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM. 

Believe it or not, in HIS eyes those that trust in HIM are kings! For HE is the KING OF kings! Trust in the LORD for HE is good!

Psalm 72, the Coming KING!

Psa 72:1, …Give the king Your judgments, O God, And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.

The LORD had appeared to Solomon in a dream and said, “ASK! WHAT SHALL I GIVE YOU”, 1Kings 3:5-13

1Ki 3:9, THEREFORE GIVE TO YOUR SERVANT AN UNDERSTANDING HEART TO JUDGE YOUR PEOPLE, THAT I MAY DISCERN BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL. FOR WHO IS ABLE TO JUDGE THIS GREAT PEOPLE OF YOURS?”

Solomon asked for wisdom to be able to judge the people of GOD! And it pleased the LORD! WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE ASK FOR IF THE LORD TOLD YOU THE SAME THING?

Psa 72:2,4-5, HE WILL JUDGE YOUR PEOPLE WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS, And Your poor with JUSTICE…. He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor. THEY SHALL FEAR YOU AS LONG AS THE SUN AND MOON ENDURE, THROUGHOUT ALL GENERATIONS.

Solomon is not thinking of himself here; he is thinking of the Greater SON of David which is the coming Messiah “JESUS”! HE will rule the whole earth with righteousness and justice!

Psa 72:10-11, The kings of Tarshish and of the isles WILL BRING PRESENTS; The kings of Sheba and Seba WILL OFFER GIFTS. YES, ALL KINGS SHALL FALL DOWN BEFORE HIM; ALL NATIONS SHALL SERVE HIM.

Kings brought gifts to HIM and kneeled before HIM at HIS first coming. BUT, in HIS second coming ALL KINGS SHALL FALL DOWN BEFORE HIM AND BRING HIM PRESENTS!

Mat 2:11, …they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, AND FELL DOWN AND WORSHIPED HIM. AND WHEN THEY HAD OPENED THEIR TREASURES, THEY PRESENTED GIFTS TO HIM: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 

Psa 72:13-14, HE will spare the poor and needy, And will save the souls of the needy. HE will redeem their life from oppression and violence; AND PRECIOUS SHALL BE THEIR BLOOD IN HIS SIGHT.

Today, when a homeless person dies on the street no one really cares! Or, when a baby is ripped apart in the womb of it’s mother, we call a right! BUT HE CARES FOR ALL LIVES, NOT JUST THE WELL TODO! IN HIS EYES THEIR BLOOD IS PRECIOUS TO HIM FOR HE CREATED THEM ALL!

Psa 116:15, Precious in the sight of the LORD Is the death of His saints.

Psalm 68, Self Existing ONE!

Psa 68:4, Sing to God, sing praises to His name; EXTOL HIM WHO RIDES ON THE CLOUDS, BY HIS NAME YAH, And rejoice before Him. 

JESUS was taken by a cloud, Act 1:9, And it is HE who rode a cloud in Dan 7:13!

Dan 7:13, “I was watching in the night visions, And behold, ONE LIKE THE SON OF MAN, COMING WITH THE CLOUDS OF HEAVEN! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him.

JESUS is GOD the SON who rode a cloud to GOD the FATHER! BOTH ARE ONE

Joh 10:30, I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE.” 

HIS name YAH abbreviation of יהוה, JEHOVAH, means “SELF -EXISTENCE”; JESUS said “I AM”. HE JUST IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE ETERNAL ONE WHO INHABITS ETERNITY!

Joh 8:58, Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” 

Psa 68:5-6, A FATHER OF THE FATHERLESS, A DEFENDER OF WIDOWS, Is God in His holy habitation. GOD SETS THE SOLITARY IN FAMILIES; HE BRINGS OUT THOSE WHO ARE BOUND INTO PROSPERITY; …. 

The LORD GOD is our loving FATHER, who defends the widows, a father to the fatherless! HE gives the lonely a family and HE breaks the chains of those bound in sin!

Psa 68:32-33, Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah TO HIM WHO RIDES ON THE HEAVEN OF HEAVENS, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

Once you know who HE is you will praise HIM, because HE is worthy to be praised! HE is the KING of kings, the LORD of lords who makes a cloud into HIS Chariot!

Psa 104:3b, .. WHO MAKES THE CLOUDS HIS CHARIOT, WHO WALKS ON THE WINGS OF THE WIND, 

TRUST IN HIM, THE SELF-EXITING ONE, FOR HE IS AND WILL ALWAYS BE LORD!

Psalm 63, Longing for HIS coming!

Psa 63:1, …O GOD, YOU ARE MY GOD; EARLY WILL I SEEK YOU; MY SOUL THIRSTS FOR YOU; MY FLESH LONGS FOR YOU In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

David sought the LORD daily not because he was forced or by habit, but because he knew GOD! A human body will not last long without water, and GOD was as water for David! Job also longed for GOD!

Job 19:25-27, For I know that my REDEEMER LIVES, And HE SHALL STAND AT LAST ON THE EARTH; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, THAT IN MY FLESH I SHALL SEE GOD, Whom I shall see for myself, AND MY EYES SHALL BEHOLD, AND NOT ANOTHER. HOW MY HEART YEARNS WITHIN ME!

David, Job, Isaiah and many others yearned to see the LORD; do you? HE WILL ONE DAY WITHOUT WARNING APPEAR AND ALL FLESH SHALL SEE HIS APPEARING!

Tit 2:13, LOOKING FOR THE BLESSED HOPE AND GLORIOUS APPEARING OF OUR GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST,

Psa 63:3, BECAUSE YOUR LOVINGKINDNESS IS BETTER THAN LIFE, MY LIPS SHALL PRAISE YOU. 

The LORD is worthy to be praised, remember HE paid a high price for us; HIS EARTHLY LIFE!

1Co 6:20, FOR YOU WERE BOUGHT AT A PRICE; THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR SPIRIT, WHICH ARE GOD’S. 

Psa 63:11, But the king shall rejoice in God; EVERYONE WHO SWEARS BY HIM SHALL GLORY; BUT THE MOUTH OF THOSE WHO SPEAK LIES SHALL BE STOPPED. 

HE IS COMING AGAIN, AND THOSE THAT KNOW GOD WILL REJOICE AT HIS COMING, BUT THE WICKED WILL BE PUNISHED!

Isa 13:11, “I will punish the world for its evil, And the wicked for their iniquity; I will halt the arrogance of the proud, And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. 

BE READY FOR HE IS NEAR; HE IS AT THE DOOR READY TO COME FOR HIS BRIDE!
