Proverbs 28, you did it onto ME, says the LORD!

Pro 28:1, The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion. 

One who is wicked is always looking around, and scared at police sirens; for they know they’re guilty and are afraid of getting caught! Bold are the righteous for they have nothing to fear!

Psa 27:1, …THE LORD IS MY LIGHT AND MY SALVATION; WHOM SHALL I FEAR? THE LORD IS THE STRENGTH OF MY LIFE; OF WHOM SHALL I BE AFRAID? 

Pro 28:4, THOSE WHO FORSAKE THE LAW PRAISE THE WICKED, BUT SUCH AS KEEP THE LAW CONTEND WITH THEM. 

Were seeing a lot of this today in our society where lawlessness is praised, and common sense is thrown out the door! This is one of the signs of the end of days!

Mat 24:12, AND BECAUSE LAWLESSNESS WILL ABOUND, THE LOVE OF MANY WILL GROW COLD. 

Pro 28:13, HE WHO COVERS HIS SINS WILL NOT PROSPER, BUT WHOEVER CONFESSES AND FORSAKES THEM WILL HAVE MERCY. 

HE already knows what you have done, confess your sins and turn from them! HE WILL NOT FORGIVE A SIN THAT YOU HAVE NOT ASKED HIM TO FORGIVE!

Psa 32:5, I ACKNOWLEDGED MY SIN TO YOU, AND MY INIQUITY I HAVE NOT HIDDEN. I SAID, “I WILL CONFESS MY TRANSGRESSIONS TO THE LORD,” AND YOU FORGAVE THE INIQUITY OF MY SIN. SELAH 

Pro 28:26, HE WHO TRUSTS IN HIS OWN HEART IS A FOOL, BUT WHOEVER WALKS WISELY WILL BE DELIVERED. 

I have heard many say, “DO WHAT’S IN YOUR HEART AND YOU WILL BE FINE”? 

Jer 17:9, “THE HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, AND DESPERATELY WICKED; WHO CAN KNOW IT? 

Pro 28:27, HE WHO GIVES TO THE POOR WILL NOT LACK, BUT HE WHO HIDES HIS EYES WILL HAVE MANY CURSES. 

The LORD sees all and knows all! If you give to the poor your actually giving it to the LORD!

Mat 25:38-40, When did we see YOU a stranger and take YOU in, or naked and clothe YOU? Or when did we see YOU sick, or in prison, and come to YOU?’ And the KING will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, INASMUCH AS YOU DID IT TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YOU DID IT TO ME.’

Heb 13:16, BUT DO NOT FORGET TO DO GOOD AND TO SHARE, FOR WITH SUCH SACRIFICES GOD IS WELL PLEASED.

Proverbs 25, The volume of the book is written of ME!

Pro 25:1, These also are proverbs of Solomon which the men of Hezekiah king of Judah copied: 

Solomon was the wises man, beside JESUS, to have walked this earth, Yet not all of what he wrote was preserved.  Hezekiah, added other proverbs of Solomon that to this collection.

1Ki 4:30-32, Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt. For he was wiser than all men… He spoke three thousand proverbs, and his songs were one thousand and five.

Pro 25:2, IT IS THE GLORY OF GOD TO CONCEAL A MATTER, BUT THE GLORY OF KINGS IS TO SEARCH OUT A MATTER. 

GOD conceals a matter, not to keep us from finding out, but that we would search out its secrets! It’s HIS way to draw us closer to HIM! It is said that if we search we can find JESUS in every page in the OLD testament!

Heb 10:7, THEN I SAID, ‘BEHOLD, I HAVE COME—IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME—TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.’

Rom 11:33, OH, THE DEPTH OF THE RICHES BOTH OF THE WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE OF GOD! HOW UNSEARCHABLE ARE HIS JUDGMENTS AND HIS WAYS PAST FINDING OUT!

Pro 25:11-12, A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. Like an earring of gold and an ornament of fine gold Is a wise rebuker to an obedient ear.

The right word at the right time has the power to heal, strengthen, to guide, and rescue!

Isa 50:4, “THE LORD GOD HAS GIVEN ME THE TONGUE OF THE LEARNED, THAT I SHOULD KNOW HOW TO SPEAK A WORD IN SEASON TO HIM WHO IS WEARY. HE AWAKENS ME MORNING BY MORNING, HE AWAKENS MY EAR TO HEAR AS THE LEARNED. 

Pro 25:25, As cold water to a weary soul, SO IS GOOD NEWS FROM A FAR COUNTRY. 

Hearing good news from a far away family member is great for the heart, Yet the best news comes from the LORD! HE HAS PAID THE PRICE FOR OUR SINS, AND HAS GIVEN US A WAY TO THE FATHER! IT’S A FREE GIFT, TAKE IT IS YOURS IF YOU WANT IT!

Joh 1:12, BUT AS MANY AS RECEIVED HIM, TO THEM HE GAVE THE RIGHT TO BECOME CHILDREN OF GOD, TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIS NAME: 

Are you HIS? Call out to HIM for HE is waiting on you; for the time is near and the door is about to close!

Psalm 119:113-128, Double-minded person!

SAMECH ס  113-120,

Psa 119:113, I HATE THE DOUBLE-MINDED, BUT I LOVE YOUR LAW. 

A double-minded person is not set in his ways! HE wants what GOD offers, but also wants what the world offers! NO ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS, GOD OR MAMMON? Matt 6:24.

1Ki 18:21, And Elijah came to all the people, and said, “HOW LONG WILL YOU FALTER BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS? IF THE LORD IS GOD, FOLLOW HIM; BUT IF BAAL, FOLLOW HIM.” But the people answered him not a word.

We are either for HIM or against HIM; there is no middle ground, no other way!

Psa 119:115, Depart from me, you evildoers, For I will keep the commandments of my God!

The Psalmist was careful in choosing his friends; for bad habits are easily passed on from one to another! He wants nothing to distract him from following the LORD!

1Co 15:33, DO NOT BE DECEIVED: “EVIL COMPANY CORRUPTS GOOD HABITS.” 

Psa 119:119, You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross; Therefore I love Your testimonies.

Dross is worthless, it takes away the shine of silver and makes it dull, and pretends to be gold but isn’t! So is a double-minded man; wine mixed with water

Isa 1:22, Your silver has become dross, Your wine mixed with water. 

Jas 1:8, HE IS A DOUBLE-MINDED MAN, UNSTABLE IN ALL HIS WAYS.

Psa 119:123, My eyes fail from seeking Your salvation And Your righteous word. 

“He looked to God alone, he looked eagerly, he looked long, he looked till his eyes ached. The mercy is, that if our eyes fail, GOD DOES NOT FAIL, NOR DO HIS EYES FAIL.” (Spurgeon)

Psa 119:125, I AM YOUR SERVANT; GIVE ME UNDERSTANDING, That I may know Your testimonies. 

The Psalmist has chosen his path, he is a servant of GOD and wants more understanding of HIM! WE TOO NEED TO CHOSE, EITHER HIS WAY OR OUR WAY! WE CANT HAVE BOTH! JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO THE FATHER!

Psalm 114, We have no excuse!

Psa 114:1, When Israel went out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from a people of strange language

After 400 years in a foreign land, Israel was taken out by the strength of GOD! THIS IS A FORESHADOWING OF WHAT JESUS DID FOR US ON THE CROSS. THIS IS NOT OUR HOME

Php 3:20, FOR OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN, from which WE ALSO EAGERLY WAIT FOR THE SAVIOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, 

Psa 114:2, JUDAH BECAME HIS SANCTUARY, AND ISRAEL HIS DOMINION. 

Judah represents all of Israel, but it hints at the LION of the tribe of Judah which is JESUS! GOD is with Israel even today, as HE is with us! WE BECAME HIS SANCTUARY FOR HE DWELLS WITH US, HE IS ALWAYS WITH US!

2Co 6:16, …. FOR YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE LIVING GOD. As God has said: “I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM. I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.” 

Psa 114:3, 5, THE SEA SAW IT AND FLED; JORDAN TURNED BACK…. WHAT AILS YOU, O SEA, THAT YOU FLED? O JORDAN, THAT YOU TURNED BACK? 

Even the water and it’s tremendous waves obeyed the LORD! They were afraid of the LORD and moved out of HIS way!

Psa 77:16, The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were afraid; The depths also trembled. 

Nature recognized HIS presence how much more should we recognize the LORD!

Mat 8:27, So the men marveled, saying, “WHO CAN THIS BE, THAT EVEN THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?” 

HE IS THE LORD, OUR GOD, OBEY HIM AND TRUST IN HIM!

Psalm 109, the Volume of the book is written of ME!

Psa 109:3-4, They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, AND FOUGHT AGAINST ME WITHOUT A CAUSE. IN RETURN FOR MY LOVE THEY ARE MY ACCUSERS, BUT I GIVE MYSELF TO PRAYER.

A prophetic psalm of David! JESUS went around doing good, healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, teaching truth etc.

Act 10:38, how God anointed JESUS of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, WHO WENT ABOUT DOING GOOD AND HEALING ALL WHO WERE OPPRESSED BY THE DEVIL, FOR GOD WAS WITH HIM.

YET, they wanted to stone HIM!

Joh 10:32, Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you STONE ME?” 

But ended up crucified on the cross of Calvary praying for those that betrayed them!

Luk 23:34, Then Jesus said, “FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY DO.” …

Psa 109:5, Thus they have REWARDED ME EVIL FOR GOOD, AND HATRED FOR MY LOVE.  

JESUS called Judas friend, but Judas betrayed HIM with a kiss!

Mat 26:49-50, Immediately he went up to JESUS and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” AND KISSED HIM. But JESUS said to him, “Friend, why have you come?” Then they came and laid hands on JESUS and took Him.

Pro 27:6, FAITHFUL ARE THE WOUNDS OF A FRIEND, BUT THE KISSES OF AN ENEMY ARE DECEITFUL. 

Psa 109:8, Let his days be few, AND LET ANOTHER TAKE HIS OFFICE. 

Peter quoted these same words in Acts 1:20 to have Judas position, as an Apostle, replaced by another!

Act 1:20, “For it is written in the Book of Psalms: ‘LET HIS DWELLING PLACE BE DESOLATE, AND LET NO ONE LIVE IN IT’; and, ‘LET ANOTHER TAKE HIS OFFICE.’ 

The whole Bible is written of JESUS, Old and New! This is HIS story written before HE was Even born! Psalm 40:7, “THE SCROLL OF THE BOOK IS WRITTEN OF ME”!

Heb 10:7, THEN I SAID, ‘BEHOLD, I HAVE COME—IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME—TO DO YOUR WILL, O GOD.’

Psalm 101, Know yourself!

Psa 101:2, I WILL BEHAVE WISELY IN A PERFECT WAY. OH, WHEN WILL YOU COME TO ME? I WILL WALK WITHIN MY HOUSE WITH A PERFECT HEART. 

King David wanted his reign over Israel to be marked by integrity and godliness (Perfect way)! Not just in public where he is seen but even in the privacy of his own home!

Pro 20:7, The righteous man walks in his integrity; His children are blessed after him. 

David wanted to live righteously before the LORD is order to have fellowship with HIM! How can we have fellowship with the LORD and walk in darkness? It’s impossible! LIGHT CANNOT DWELL WITH DARKNESS!

1John 1:6-7, If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

Psa 101:3, I WILL SET NOTHING WICKED BEFORE MY EYES; I HATE THE WORK OF THOSE WHO FALL AWAY; IT SHALL NOT CLING TO ME. 

A way to measure a man’s righteousness is not what he does at church or at work where he is clearly seen, but in his private times! What are you watching on TV, what goes through your mind when a beautiful lady is near you?

Job 31:1, “I HAVE MADE A COVENANT WITH MY EYES; WHY THEN SHOULD I LOOK UPON A YOUNG WOMAN? 

Even righteous Job noticed that he had a problem with the lust of the eyes! I KNOW I’M GUILTY, HOW ABOUT YOU?

1Jn 2:16, For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—IS NOT OF THE FATHER BUT IS OF THE WORLD. 

Know it or not, but we all fall short of the glory of GOD! But I’m a Christian, I don’t do these things! APPARENTLY, YOU ARE ALSO A LIAR!

Rom 3:9-10, What then? ARE WE BETTER THAN THEY? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks THAT THEY ARE ALL UNDER SIN. As it is written: “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE;

True Christians know that we don’t deserve to be called a child of GOD; our righteousness are but dirty rags! YET, HE MADE A WAY FOR EVEN THE WORSE OF SINNERS TO BE SAVED! THANK YOU, LORD! THANK YOU!

Psalm 100, Serving the LORD!

Psa 100:1, …MAKE A JOYFUL SHOUT TO THE LORD, ALL YOU LANDS!

For those that actually read this book of hope know there is a reason for joy, OUR DEBT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL! WE ARE NO LONGER SLAVES TO SIN, BUT ARE CHILDREN OF GOD! EVEN THE ANGELS SING FOR JOY WHEN ONE COMES TO FAITH IN THE LIVING GOD!

Luk 15:7, I SAY TO YOU THAT LIKEWISE THERE WILL BE MORE JOY IN HEAVEN OVER ONE SINNER WHO REPENTS than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. 

Psa 100:2, SERVE THE LORD WITH GLADNESS; Come before HIS presence with singing.

Many, if not most, people think serving the LORD is a burden, “I HAVE TO SERVE”! YET, our LORD JESUS came here to serve, not to be served! What a great example we have in HIM!

Heb 12:2, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING THE SHAME, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 

The cross wasn’t joyful for HIM, BUT HE COULD SEE PAST THE HORRORS OF THE CROSS AND SEE THE FRUIT OF IT!

Dan 9:26, … MESSIAH SHALL BE CUT OFF, BUT NOT FOR HIMSELF;

HE DID IT FOR YOU!

1Sa 12:24, ONLY FEAR THE LORD, AND SERVE HIM IN TRUTH WITH ALL YOUR HEART; FOR CONSIDER WHAT GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE FOR YOU. 

Psa 100:4, ENTER INTO HIS GATES WITH THANKSGIVING, AND INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE. BE THANKFUL TO HIM, AND BLESS HIS NAME. 

Because of what HE did for us, we are able to enter HIS gates and dwell with the living GOD! BE GREATFUL, SING FOR JOY THAT HE ALLOWS HEATHENS LIKE US INTO HIS REST!

Psa 100:5, FOR THE LORD IS GOOD; HIS MERCY IS EVERLASTING, AND HIS TRUTH ENDURES TO ALL GENERATIONS.

Psalm 50, GOD Speaks!

Psa 50:1, …, THE MIGHTY ONE, GOD THE LORD, HAS SPOKEN and called the earth From the rising of the sun to its going down.

Three names of GOD in the first verse! EL = Mighty GOD, GOD =Elohim, THE LORD = YEH-HO-VAW’! HE SPEAKS OUT OF ZION!

Psa 50:3, Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; A fire shall devour before Him, And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

THE LORD, GOD HAS COME TO JUDGE THE WORLD OUT OF JERUSALEM!

Psa 50:5-6, “GATHER MY SAINTS TOGETHER TO ME, THOSE WHO HAVE MADE A COVENANT WITH ME BY SACRIFICE.” LET THE HEAVENS DECLARE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, FOR GOD HIMSELF IS JUDGE. SELAH

Judgement starts with HIS saints first (1Peter 4:17)! Believers, who placed their trust in the LORD JESUS, shall be judged according to their works! Their motives shall be tested by fire!  

Psa 50:8,12, I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me…. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.

THEY OFFERED SACRIFICES AS IF HE WERE HUNGRY FOR FOOD NOT BASED ON A REPENTANT HEART!

Psa 50:16-17, But to the wicked God says: “WHAT RIGHT HAVE YOU TO DECLARE MY STATUTES, OR TAKE MY COVENANT IN YOUR MOUTH, SEEING YOU HATE INSTRUCTION AND CAST MY WORDS BEHIND YOU?

The wicked refers to believers!

Psa 50:18-20, When you saw a thief, you consented with him, And have been a partaker with adulterers. You give your mouth to evil, And your tongue frames deceit. You sit and speak against your brother; …

THIS IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD, YET MANY BELIEVERS ACT THIS WAY! WE THINK BECAUSE HE KEEPS SILENT THAT WERE OK?

Psa 50:21, These things you have done, and I kept silent; YOU THOUGHT THAT I WAS ALTOGETHER LIKE YOU; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes. 

HE SEES ALL WE DO, HE ALSO SEES THE MOTIVES OF OUR HEARTS! IS IT BASED ON LOVE FOR HIM OR HONOR FOR OURSELVES? IF WE LOVE HIM, THEN WE MUST DO AS HE INSTRUCTED US TO DO!

Psalm 49, the Redemption of our souls!

Psa 49:6-7, THOSE WHO TRUST IN THEIR WEALTH AND BOAST IN THE MULTITUDE OF THEIR RICHES, NONE OF THEM CAN BY ANY MEANS REDEEM HIS BROTHER, NOR GIVE TO GOD A RANSOM FOR HIM—

Money is a useful tool, yet trusting in it is foolish! You can’t redeem a brother with your riches!

Pro 11:28, He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like foliage. 

Psa 49:8-9, FOR THE REDEMPTION OF THEIR SOULS IS COSTLY, AND IT SHALL CEASE FOREVER— THAT HE SHOULD CONTINUE TO LIVE ETERNALLY, AND NOT SEE THE PIT.

The redemption of the soul is the work only GOD can do, and HE did! IT COST JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, HIS EARTHLY LIFE TO REDEEM OUR SOULS! HIS JOY WAS TO PLEASE HIS FATHER BY BRINGING THE LOST TO HIS PRESENCE!

Heb 12:2, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING THE SHAME, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 

Those who go down to the pit have no hope in getting out, no hope of being comforted; for they rejected the only way to the Father!

Isa 38:18, For Sheol cannot thank You, Death cannot praise You; THOSE WHO GO DOWN TO THE PIT CANNOT HOPE FOR YOUR TRUTH. 

Psa 6:5, For in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who will give You thanks? 

Psa 49:15, BUT GOD WILL REDEEM MY SOUL FROM THE POWER OF THE GRAVE, FOR HE SHALL RECEIVE ME. SELAH

JESUS served the FATHER by coming down from heaven to give HIS life for the ransom of many!

Mat 20:28, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, BUT TO SERVE, AND TO GIVE HIS LIFE A RANSOM FOR MANY.”

Psa 20:7, Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. 

SOME TRUST IN WHAT THEY HAVE, THEIR MONEY, THEIR INFLUENCE, THEIR STRENGTH, BUT I WILL TRUST IN THE LORD, MY REDEEMBER, MY ONLY HOPE!

Psalm 43, why do you cast me off?

Psa 43:2, Vindicate me, O God, …Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man! FOR YOU ARE THE GOD OF MY STRENGTH; WHY do You cast me off? WHY do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

A continuation of the previous psalm where the psalmist is in deep depression!  He is crying out to the LORD, the source of his strength and asking WHY DO YOU CAST ME OFF? WHY DO I GRIEVE? TRIALS LIKE THESE OFTEN TEST OUR FAITH, BUT RESULTS IN A STRONGER BOND WITH THE LORD!

Jas 1:3-4, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

JESUS said, at the start of HIS ministry!

Isa 61:1, “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon ME, Because the LORD has anointed ME To PREACH GOOD TIDINGS TO THE POOR; HE HAS SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED, TO PROCLAIM LIBERTY TO THE CAPTIVES, AND THE OPENING OF THE PRISON TO THOSE WHO ARE BOUND; 

Psa 147:3, He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds. 

Psa 43:3-4, Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill And to Your tabernacle. Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And on the harp I will praise You, O God, my God.

He is in a dark place and is asking the LORD for guidance! LEAD ME LORD OUT OF THIS DEPRESSION THAT I MAY PRAISE YOU AGAIN!

Psa 119:105, YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT TO MY PATH. 

2Cor 1:3-4, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and GOD OF ALL COMFORT, WHO COMFORTS US IN ALL OUR TRIBULATION, THAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO COMFORT THOSE WHO ARE IN ANY TROUBLE, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

The LORD may use you and your experiences to comfort others! REMEMBER, HIS WAYS ARE NOT OUR WAYS, HIS THOUGHTS ARE HIGHER THAN OURS! TRUST IN THE LORD

Psa 130:5, I WAIT FOR THE LORD, MY SOUL WAITS, AND IN HIS WORD I DO HOPE.
