Isaiah 6, Unworthy to see the HOLY, HOLY, HOLY KING!

Isa 6:1, In the year that King Uzziah died, I SAW THE LORD SITTING ON A THRONE, HIGH AND LIFTED UP, AND THE TRAIN OF HIS ROBE FILLED THE TEMPLE.

King Uzziah was a great king of Israel, who did what was right in the sight of the LORD! He reigned 52 years, but had a tragic end! Isaiah was sad to see a great leader die, but then he saw that “GOD IS STILL ON THE THRONE”!

Psa 47:6-8, SING PRAISES TO GOD, SING PRAISES! SING PRAISES TO OUR KING, SING PRAISES! FOR GOD IS THE KING OF ALL THE EARTH; Sing praises with understanding. GOD REIGNS OVER THE NATIONS; GOD SITS ON HIS HOLY THRONE.

Isa 6:2, Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: WITH TWO HE COVERED HIS FACE, WITH TWO HE COVERED HIS FEET, AND WITH TWO HE FLEW.

These seraphim were blameless, sinless, YET in humility would cover themselves before the HOLY, HOLY, HOLY GOD!

Isa 6:3, And one cried to another and said: “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD OF HOSTS; THE WHOLE EARTH IS FULL OF HIS GLORY!”

Job said that we only see the edges of HIS Glory here on earth (Job 26:14), but of what we do see were in awe of HIS glory!

Psa 19:1-2, …THE HEAVENS DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD; AND THE FIRMAMENT SHOWS HIS HANDIWORK. DAY UNTO DAY UTTERS SPEECH, AND NIGHT UNTO NIGHT REVEALS KNOWLEDGE.

Isa 6:5, So I said: “WOE IS ME, FOR I AM UNDONE! BECAUSE I AM A MAN OF UNCLEAN LIPS, AND I DWELL IN THE MIDST OF A PEOPLE OF UNCLEAN LIPS; FOR MY EYES HAVE SEEN THE KING, THE LORD OF HOSTS.”

If the sinless Seraphim hid their faces before the LORD then sinful Isaiah thought that he would die before the HOLY ONE!

Rom 5:8, But GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS OWN LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.

We’re not worthy to stand before a HOLY, HOLY, HOLY GOD, but because of the work of HIS SON JESUS we now have access to the FATHER!

Heb 4:16, LET US THEREFORE COME BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GRACE, THAT WE MAY OBTAIN MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP IN TIME OF NEED.

Psalm 136, For HIS mercy endures forever!

Psa 136:1a, OH, GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD!

This is a statement of fact; HE is and HE does good! GOD is love, and HE loves us!

1Jn 4:16, AND WE HAVE KNOWN AND BELIEVED THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR US. GOD IS LOVE, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

Psa 136:1b, … FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER.

This phrase is repeated 26 times in this psalm, one for every verse! GOD is good and rich in mercy clearly seen in the work of HIS SON; for JESUS suffered on the cross for our sins!

Eph 2:4-5, BUT GOD, WHO IS RICH IN MERCY, BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT LOVE WITH WHICH HE LOVED US, even when we were dead in trespasses, MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER WITH CHRIST (by grace you have been saved),

Psa 136:2-3, Oh, give thanks TO THE GOD OF gods! …. Oh, give thanks TO THE LORD OF lords! FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER:

This is HIS title, HE IS THE GOD OF gods, LORD OF lords, KING OF kings!

Rev 19:16, And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

Deu 10:17, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD is God of gods AND LORD of lords, THE GREAT GOD, MIGHTY AND AWESOME, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe.

And the day is coming, and almost here that HE will be the KING OF ALL THE EARTH!

Zec 14:9, AND THE LORD SHALL BE KING OVER ALL THE EARTH…

Psa 136:26, OH, GIVE THANKS TO THE GOD OF HEAVEN! FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER.

In everything we should always give thanks to HIM for HE is good and HIS mercies will endure forever, and ever! TURN BACK TO THE LORD FOR HE IS NEAR, TURN BACK TO THE LORD FOR HE LOVES YOU, AND IS WAITING FOR YOU!

Joe 2:12-13, “Now, therefore,” says the LORD, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the LORD your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.

Psalm 123, keep your eyes on the LORD!

Psa 123:1, UNTO YOU I LIFT UP MY EYES, O YOU WHO DWELL IN THE HEAVENS.

As the storms in our lives (trials) rages on my eyes will be steadfast focused on the LORD! Remember HIS disciples, fishermen, while on the boat were focused on the storm, not the CREATOR who was with them!

Mat 8:25-27, Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “LORD, SAVE US! WE ARE PERISHING!”  BUT HE SAID TO THEM, “WHY ARE YOU FEARFUL, O YOU OF LITTLE FAITH?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, “WHO CAN THIS BE, THAT EVEN THE WINDS AND THE SEA OBEY HIM?”

HE is always with us, and HE is in full control!

2Co 4:8-9, We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—

Psa 123:2, Behold, AS the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, AS the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, SO OUR EYES LOOK TO THE LORD OUR GOD, UNTIL HE HAS MERCY ON US.

Like a waiter or butler is intently focused on the slightest hint from their master with that same intensity the psalmist looks to GOD! HE is always working in our lives, but we need to wait for HIS perfect timing!

Psa 27:13-14, I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. WAIT ON THE LORD; BE OF GOOD COURAGE, AND HE SHALL STRENGTHEN YOUR HEART; WAIT, I SAY, ON THE LORD!

Psa 123:3-4, Have mercy on us, O LORD, have mercy on us! FOR WE ARE EXCEEDINGLY FILLED WITH CONTEMPT. OUR SOUL IS EXCEEDINGLY FILLED WITH THE SCORN of those who are at ease, WITH THE CONTEMPT OF THE PROUD.

Remember, this is not our home; for those that believe this is the closest we will ever be to hell! But, to those that don’t believe this world is the closest they will be to heaven!

Isa 53:3, HE IS DESPISED AND REJECTED BY MEN, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM; HE WAS DESPISED, AND WE DID NOT ESTEEM HIM.

As HE was rejected, so will we be rejected for our faith in HIM! This world offers nothing but grief! But HE is coming and soon will be here!

Psalm 119:145-160, HIS word is truth!

Qoph ק, 145-152

Psa 119:145, I cry out with my whole heart; Hear me, O LORD! I will keep Your statutes.

The Psalmist IS NOT NEGOTIATING with the LORD; IF YOU HEAR ME THEN I WILL KEEP YOUR STATUTES. He keeps HIS laws in his heart so that he doesn’t stumble!

Psa 119:11, Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.

Psa 119:147, I RISE BEFORE THE DAWNING OF THE MORNING, AND CRY FOR HELP; I HOPE IN YOUR WORD.

The Psalmist treasures time with the LORD more than sleep! JESUS, our example, woke up early to spend time with the FATHER!

Mar 1:35, NOW IN THE MORNING, having risen a long while before daylight, HE WENT OUT AND DEPARTED TO A SOLITARY PLACE; AND THERE HE PRAYED.

Psa 119:148, MY EYES ARE AWAKE THROUGH THE NIGHT WATCHES, That I may meditate on Your word.

Even stayed up at night Meditating on HIS word, HIS promises, HIS judgments! Remember, these are not just words in a book, but are HIS promises to those that believe! JESUS, our example, also stayed up late praying to HIS FATHER!

Luk 6:12, Now it came to pass in those days that HE went out to the mountain to pray, and CONTINUED ALL NIGHT IN PRAYER TO GOD.

Resh ר, 153-160

Psa 119:153-154, Consider my affliction and deliver me, For I do not forget Your law. Plead my cause and redeem me; REVIVE ME ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD.

In his personal trial the psalmist pleads for mercy from the LORD. HIS hope is found in HIS word for he knows GOD can not lie!

Tit 1:2, in hope of eternal life which GOD, WHO CANNOT LIE, PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

Psa 119:160, THE ENTIRETY OF YOUR WORD IS TRUTH, AND EVERY ONE OF YOUR RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENTS ENDURES FOREVER.

HIS word is true, live by it and live forever, ignore it and it will condemn you forever! IT’S A CHOICE EVERY ONE MUST MAKE!

2Ti 3:16, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

2Samuel 19, Bring back the KING!

2Sa 19:14-15, So he swayed the hearts of all the men of Judah … SO THAT THEY SENT THIS WORD TO THE KING: “RETURN, YOU AND ALL YOUR SERVANTS!” THEN THE KING RETURNED AND CAME TO THE JORDAN…

GOD WILL NEVER FORCE HIS REIGN ON US, BUT WE MUST WELCOME HIS REIGN! OUR HEARTS MUST BE SWAYED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT!

2Sa 19:18-20, …NOW SHIMEI THE SON OF GERA FELL DOWN BEFORE THE KING… DO NOT LET MY LORD IMPUTE INIQUITY TO ME, OR REMEMBER WHAT WRONG YOUR SERVANT DID ON THE DAY THAT MY LORD THE KING LEFT JERUSALEM, THAT THE KING SHOULD TAKE IT TO HEART…FOR I, YOUR SERVANT, KNOW THAT I HAVE SINNED

This is a picture of us; for with our lifestyles we have curse God and went our own way. But when we come to the knowledge of the truth and understand that our way leads to death, then we must humble ourselves before the KING of kings JESUS!

2Sa 19:21, But Abishai said …, “SHALL NOT SHIMEI BE PUT TO DEATH FOR THIS, BECAUSE HE CURSED THE LORD’S ANOINTED?”

Eze 18:21-23, “But if a wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die. None of the transgressions which he has committed shall be remembered against him; …Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?” says the Lord GOD, “and not that he should turn from his ways and live?
